In zombie mode this morning after dealing with the Crew Party last night and early this morning.
I had a wonderful breakfast on the back deck just a little
after sunrise. The Mediterranean is just beautiful this morning.
My last talk – “Forensic
Detectives: Identifying the Famous and
Infamous” was at 11:15 AM in the Celebrity Theater following the Captain
Vitto’s Navigation Talk. I started and
ended on time. The audience – for this
demographic – was great – a little bigger than the previous talk – 35 percent
full. I consider this lecture series a successful
effort.
I have been getting veggie burgers for lunch at the Mast
Bar (Deck 10). They take about 15
minutes and are pretty good. I usually
eat them in the Spa Café, where it is generally quieter.
Just before dinner, the ship sailed through the Straits of Messina. We could see the coast of Italy as well as Messina all lit up.
Showtime Tonight featured “December ‘63”, a Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons cover group
(from LA, Detroit, Sussex England, and Brooklyn). Great individual vocalists, great harmonies,
and super choreography. Interactions
with the audience were funny. One of the
best covers.
We caught Izzy and Moe in Café Baccio – this was their
last day on board after a 5 month contract. Very easy to listen to. Too bad we discovered them so late.
