Monday, February 20, 2012 – At Sea – Atlantic Ocean – Sunny – 75F

A beautiful day at sea…much warmer than the last cruise at the outset.

Our itinerary for this Western Caribbean Cruise

The ship, while appearing to full, has a very different demographic than the previous one – there are younger passengers and quite a few kids (as we would learn soon enough as a “Kid’s Buffet” appeared in the Ocean View Cafe at dinner).

We had lunch today in the Grand Epernay Dining Room.  While the passengers are all sequestered in one section of the room, it was not too noisy and the food came pretty quickly.  I had a salad and a veggie burger, which was OK.

My first talk - “The CSI Phenomenon” is at 1:30 PM.  People filed in pretty late but by the time I started there were 180 attendees (95 percent CSI fans).

After the talk, we went to our favorite place – Deck 5 – for some good R and R as you can see in the picture below.

Formal night tonight and Ellen is ready but I am still wearing crocs.

I haven’t taken too many pictures of sunsets but I did get a nice one today.

We decided to give “Solstice – the Show” another try tonight but we wound up staying for just the opening segments.  The actors did wander around the theater before show time and I did catch one of the creatures on film.

We caught some of the music around the ship for the rest of the evening.
