Distance from Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands to Miami FL:  599 Nautical Miles

Total Voyage: 3721 Nautical Miles; 4279 Statute Miles

The Serenity arrived in Miami in the pre-dawn hours – so I was able to get some very nice shots of the port.

After another nice breakfast in a non-crowded Lido Café, we walked off the ship and breezed through immigration.

We had intended to catch a cab but there were several shuttles parked across the street advertising shared rides to MIA.  The shuttles, which didn’t have any markings, were supposed to be non-stop (ours wasn’t – it dropped a guy off at his rental car company).  The fare, as I recall, was $10 a person.  The van did drop us at the American Terminal.  This time we did not check in outside (they are looking for a tip) but went in to the terminal to check in.

Our flight, AA242 departed on time at 12:13 PM (thereabouts) and soon we were home.

A very different kind of cruise – little work, much time on the verandah and deck, and wonderful kosher (and other) food.
