A nicer day at sea…warm enough to get out on the deck.
The usual breakfast in the buffet – still good.
My presentation – “Cold Cases Solved”- is early today at 10:00 AM. Passengers started arriving about the time I got there at 9:30 AM. By the time I started, the theater was maybe 90 percent full – approximately 550 passengers. A really nice turnout and the second largest of my speaking career (next to those whopping crowds on the Equinox in 2013). Some interesting questions followed and we vacated the theater quickly.
With the whole day ahead of us, reading was the activity of choice. We did find time to walk the open deck. You can tell by Ellen’s hair below that the wind was blowing.
They Call the Wind…
With the atmosphere pretty cold and full of ice crystals, we were treated to a spectacular “Sun Dog”. This is a symmetrical mirage of sorts of the Sun positioned equidistantly from the actual Sun. Looks like the Sun to me plus just a hint of a prism effect.

After dinner in the Dining Room, we took in tonight’s Showtime – the Production Show - “Bravo” - The show was a high class production and at one point performers introduced each other (a first for us). It included a lot of opera and featured vocalist Jennifer Fair.

Bravo – Finale
We wrapped up the evening with some time in the Crooner’s Bar.
