August 11, 2025 – At Sea – Gulf of St Lawrence – Partly Cloudy – 61F
It was a little choppy when I went up to breakfast in the Windows Cafe.
It was foggy as well but that lifted a bit while I was up there.
I have an
afternoon talk today so the breakfast is leisurely and wonderful. I am now getting pancakes (the waffles tend to be too thick and chewy) and cottage cheese
and sour cream. I have swapped scrambled
eggs for a little bit of either cereal and milk or oatmeal with brown sugar and
raisins. The coffee continues to be
A+ (still making my own Americano in a to go cup).
I looked over
my talk while enjoying an iced Café Americano in the Mosaic Café. Just like my old routine.
Another deli lunch for me in Windows Cafe - the salad trio.
My talk today at 2 PM is “Forensics and History: The Search for the Unknown Titanic Child” – I drew another full house. The talk ran a little long at 57 minutes and I chatted with some guests out in the hallway. One of the guests gave me a replica of a ticket on the Titanic - I am guessing it came from the Titanic Exhibit in Quebec City.
It was warm
enough to spend some time out on the Pool Deck listening to VIBZ.
At 5:30 PM, we caught VIBZ Pre-Dinner set up in the Living Room. Relaxing “Island Music”. A good time to have either a Disaronno Sour or a Curacao Sour. Ellen likes the :"bird cage" hanging chair
and I usually sit next to her in a standard chair.
We ate dinner
in the Discoveries Restaurant and enjoyed our Special Meals – Ellen ordered
Kosher Fried Chicken; I had the chef make me Spaghetti Aglio Oleo (not as good
as last time but still a good option to the Kosher meals). Good dinners, both of them.
We saw the end
of Mark Donoghue’s first show on this cruise – just enough and then to the Living
Room, where Bernardo’s was hosting another game show - “Myrical Lyrical
Show” – a complete the lyrics game.
Bernardo, it seems, has very few free hours in the day.
Time Change: Clocks move one hour forward.
