We are back at Sea – it’s warm outside but a big breezy.
I have to hurry a bit this morning because I am scheduled to speak at 11:00 AM. A few days ago, Matias contacted me and asked me to another talk (I was going to have one sea day off). I told him I would do “Forensics and History – The Whitechapel Murders”. It’s a new talk (never done before) – I also decided to throw in some additional information on mitochondrial Eve and Y-Adam.
The 11 AM slot is difficult and the audience is down a bit from the last presentation but there are still over 500 people in the audience. The talk went well. I plan to add additional material to this talk and make it part of the series.
The Whitechapel Murders
Since the whole afternoon was free, it was spent reading and relaxing. We did have to stay inside due to the breeziness on deck.
Sampling the Choco Liquor in the Court
At 5:00 PM, we headed up to the Hearts and Minds Room to join in the Chanukah celebration. Tonight is the first night of Chanukah and the ship has provided all the goodies needed to bring in the holiday – Electric menorah, latkes, jelly donuts – and some extras – two challahs and wine. One of the passengers led the group (even though there were several inputs from the assembled). Sammi even showed up to check on things and the turnout was very good.
First Night of Chanukah
After dinner in the Horizon Court, we took in the Production Show - “Caribbean Caliente”, a new show for us. Took a lot of pictures of the singers and dancers.
